Global warming

Despite a cool north wind, a beautiful day today, with several people on the seafront admiring the view. Truly sunny Sussex by the sea, but is such a sunny November day a sign of global warming? One of those on the seafront was sitting in his car with the engine running, presumably to keep him warm. I reminded him politely that exhaust emissions contribute to global warming and he was hastening the day when the car park, and perhaps the entire village, would be under the sea; I asked him if he would mind switching the engine off, but he refused.
